About Us

In 2017, I welcomed a medically fragile child into the world. This event dramatically changed the landscape of my family's life. I was forced to confront some hard realities about life and how I wanted to live. Among these realities were how to live with chronic stress, discovering my sources of joy, and how to foster and stay creative and curious. As I navigated these changes one thing surfaced, how much I enjoyed the act of creating something tangible. The process of building, working with imperfections, iterating, and failing was an immensely rewarding and healing experience. I wanted to be able to play with that and build something I could start paying back to the community who helped support us when my daughter was born. This is where the idea of creating and donating a portion of proceeds to CHEO came into being.

What you see in this shop are items my family uses in everyday life. The materials that go into the products you see are rarely the same between each product making it unique. Where possible we try to source locally grown woods and materials.
